Devin,

Do our priorities involve the continued senseless genocide of innocent Iraqui, Afghan, Pakistani, and Palestinian people? Am I "turnishing" the "peace" price winner's start by pointing out that his aggressive murderous agenda is no different than our previous "murderer in chief"? Can't you see that the agenda is set, the puppet theater has long ago been constructed, and that the only thing that changes is the actor playing the lead puppet's part? Do you think that you even have a choice in selecting an honest, grass roots, unbiased candidate to any influencial office in this country?

For someone posting on a non-violence site, your intent to "work together and build our future" with a statist mass murderer seems a bit misguided... but judging by the tone of your post, perhaps you need to do a bit of waking up before putting your (I'm sure) well-meaning support behind someone who will no doubt- and with no impunity - eventually stab you in the back (therefore increasing their already incalculable body count by one).

Sorry to burst your bubble, but there are no statist solutions to today's problems. As a non-violent person, you should be in complete opposition of statism since, by definition, the state is the legalization of plunder and murder asserted through a monopoly on force.

Barack Obama's book, "The Audacity of Hope," provides a catchy title. It has a taste of bravery mixed with full confidence. You'll find nothing Pollyanna concerning this. I will most likely not support almost everything he tells, but he's our president, and for me, he creates confidence. That may do more for a country than any number of backroom deals. Hope gives us energy, and energy sustains us through trying times. Boy, we've had them. I'm from West Texas, and I did not vote for Bush. When McCain ran against Obama, I was a citizen of Arizona, but I gave audacious hope a chance. The fight for progress and laying the foundations of prosperity is just not over. I've seen the quips of those that don't believe Obama is capable of it. But step back a moment. Would anyone have all of us fail just to tarnish the star of an incumbent for whom they did not vote? Trying to keep our priorities straight, let's work together with this president and build our future.
