These two images show participation in nonviolent action. The first of Mahatma Gandhi in 1946, India, and the second of a woman (name unknown) in 2021, Sudan. The woman is participating in a nonviolent blockade to end a military coup; and Gandhi is in front of his spinning wheel, symbol of the Indian Freedom Struggle. What else do they have in common?
