Day 5: Conditioning


Nonviolence requires us to work on our own conditioning. The struggle is within us before it is expressed outside of us.

1. Go deeper: Listen/watch Michael Nagler discuss how meditation increases our capacity for nonviolence [You can read the transcript here].

2. Practice: Think of a situation in your life where you're stuck and it feels like the problem is entirely outside of you. Ponder the ways in which the solution lies within you.
