Film Screening of The Third Harmony

Michael Nagler, founder and president of the Metta Center for Nonviolence, will present a special screening of his film about the power, and yet-unexplored potential, of nonviolence as a force for realizing greater security, justice and social unity. “Nonviolence is more than putting another person in power,” writes Dr. Nagler. “It’s about awakening a different kind of power in people.” In the film, witnesses and experts cite the historical effectiveness of nonviolence in resolving conflicts around the world. Nagler argues that nonviolence, not just as a tactic but as a way of being, is the only way to unite deeply divided people and enable movements and leaders to fulfill their promise and potential.

Joining Nagler in discussion will be producer/narrator Stephanie Van Hook, executive director of the Metta Center for Nonviolence, and the film’s composer, Jim Schuyler. (US 2020) 45 min. plus discussion.

SATURDAY, JULY 16 • 7:00.

This screening is sponsored by the Fenwick Foundation, and tickets are Free of Charge. You can reserve your spot here.
